When Networking is Not Working:

How to Build Real Connections and Responsive Communities

For corporate trainers and service providers alike, the typical ‘meet and greet’ has become stale. And with all of the social media noise, the idea of ‘networking’ has become downright confusing.  In this interactive workshop, you will learn and practice the steps to building connections that lead to networks that work for you, your company and your goals. This session is about the how (or the simple process that makes master networkers effective) and the what (or the things you should be saying and not saying to make a positive impression). After this presentation, you will leave with a concrete plan that you can put into action right away.

In this program you will learn:

  • Why ditching the ‘elevator speech’ is necessary to make a lasting impression and how to do it successfully
  • The 3 critical steps you must follow to actually connect with people and how understanding this will make your networking effective again
  • Some new ways to build connections that last versus another database of dead leads

Be sure to bring the following with you to the meeting:

  • Plenty of business cards
  • A notepad and pen or pencil
